Born in the Philippines, Roman Berry moved to Australia in 1984. He has been involved in various fields in the entertainment industry from musical theatre to acting for political
causes. He trained at the Centre for Performing Arts for Dance and Flinders Drama Centre for Acting in Adelaide. Roman has professionally toured around Australia and travelled to
Bangkok and Nagasaki, Japan for companies such as Junction Theatre Company and Ricarp Productions. Roman's theatre credits include Information for Foreigners
(Adelaide Fringe Festival) and The Exposurist. Career highlights include Cameron Mackintosh's Australian production of Miss Saigon
and Harry M. Miller's off Broadway production of Pageant. Roman's directing credits include Fame the Musical and Hot
Mikado (Panorama Theatre), West Side Story (PLOS, Victoria) and It Takes 3 to Tango (K L Events Management). His love
for community theatre led Roman to be the artistic director for Youth Entertainer's Society in Sydney and to direct the world premiere of Noli (Canberra
Biennale Festival). Roman also choreographed Jon English's world premiere of Paris the Musical. Roman is currently working on brand new musicals in the UK. |
